Let’s Face It is a year long collaborative course all about faces, created and hosted by Kara Bullock. It is for anyone who wants to practice creating portraits and figurative art, but is especially designed for those of you that have felt scared or intimidated to do so at some point in your life. Together, we will share with you our strategies, tips, and techniques that we use in order to create our faces and portraits. You will leave this course feeling confident enough in your skills to never feel intimidated again!

This will be the third year that I’m teaching in Let’s Face It and I can’t wait to get started again! In 2018 Let’s Face It is going to be extra special, because we will be studying different art movements and find inspiration in various master artists from those periods. My main lesson will be all about Rembrandt, so I’m very excited about that! 🙂

  6. I would love to join LFI 2018 because I have learned so much on this year’s. It’s one of the best things I ever did for myself. The teachers are all wonderful and I love the many different styles we can try. I love the challenge of it, of being stretched, and the mutual support we give and receive on the page. I’m serious about my art and hope to land on my own style as I continue to develop, so doing LFI again is definitely essential. In fact, I’m not sure how I’d cope without it! x x x

  7. I shared the link on Twitter and Google+. I also pinned it on Pinterest. 🙂

I live with chronic pain since 2012. This made me come back to making art, and I think it has saved my life many times since. I really love drawing and painting. Especially faces.

I’m unable to work so I struggle financially. I could never afford a class like this. It would be a dream come true to be able to be a part of Let’s Face It! Thank you for the chance to win a spot. <3

  8. I have a strong interest for drawing but I do need to learn techniques and develop my skills and confidence. I would love to have the opportunity to win a free spot.

  9. When I was a teenager I loved to draw. After that life caught me and drawing went a ‘someday’ thing. Now I have more time so I start drawing again and I want to learn new skills and learn to have faith in my own skills. I think I can learn a lot from let’s face it 2018!

  10. Dear Juna,
I love to paint and draw, but it is difficult for me to draw a face, and in this course everything is about faces, that’s why I would love to win a free space.
there is no better course for me.

    warm wishes

  16. Oh Juna! I have had so much fun THIS year with Let’s Face It – 2017. I have found it sometimes challenging and sometimes very much out of my comfort zone. I absolutely LOVED your early lesson….my favourite thus far, actually. I have used your method of drawing in other portraits since, quite successfully. It’s all learning and growing and stretching ourselves, isn’t it! So yes, I would LOVE a complimentary spot in LFI – 2018. Financially, courses are in indulgence for me….but I have this passion for learning and improving.

  17. I would love to win to continue to learn from all the amazing artists Kara has brought together. I have thoroughly enjoyed your lessons Juna and all the different techniques each artist brings. Thank you for the opportunity to win a place. 🙂

  18. I would love to be able to freehand draw and paint portraits. It has been a lifelong dream of mine. I would love to receive the gift of the class in order to learn because I have seen the work of one of the students. Thank you so much for offering this to someone!

  19. I’ve seen the work of friends who took this class and it’s amazing! Improving my skill at faces is one of my goals so I’d love this opportunity! Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  20. I am retired now and startef painting about 18 months ago. I have been trying to find what subject gives me the most satisfaction to paint. Florals, landscapes didn’t do it for me. Several months ago I started teaching myself to do faces, both fun and semi-realistic. I have started taking online classes and I LOVE faces as my subject! I want to learn as much as possible. Would love to win a spot. Also, will share this class on my Facebook page!

  21. More and more, over the past two years, faces have tried to make their appearance in my art. I have always run from drawing faces and figures…but the images are getting more persistent and need to be brought to life. I am so inspired by these artists and their bravery to show expression and feelings with faces. (Especially Juna) I’d love the chance to really try.

  22. I have become a real fan of Juna’s portrait style and way of teaching. It would be a fantastic present to win this give away….
    Love from Edith

  23. I would really love to have a chance on the free spot giveaway from lets-face-it 2018. I always draw faces, but just on my own way. I really like to have lessons from ‘human face’ teachers.

  24. I would love to be a part of Let’s Face It 2018! I would love to improve my portrait skills. Faces have been difficult. Being able to paint a face is currently at the top of my bucket list! Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot 💜

  25. I have taken the first two years of LFI and have grown to love portraits! I cannot imagine not being part of 2018!!!! I learn something new with every lesson and often try to paint looser like you Juna. I adore your style and look forward to learning about the masters as I have zero art education.

  26. I have been trying to draw faces for so long. Sketching them at concerts, cafes, home and at art classes. I still cannot seem to get the essence or character of the face – eg patient husband.
I would love to win this giveaway.
Here’s hoping for my first giveaway win. I will keep trying here at home though – one day I will feel happy about my attempts – one day for sure.
Thank you for the opportunity and have fun teaching and mentoring.

  27. Juna
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to win a spot . I would be exhilarated if I were to win as this course would be such a catalyst to my artistic growth and creative journey . For arts sake
    Susan x

  28. I would LOVE to win a spot in this course as i am learning how to draw faces & love to learn different styles from different talented teachers, thank you for the chance <3

  29. OMG!! I am so happy to have found this course and can’t wait to delve into a deeper experience with portraiture. I love people and I think this flows over into my love for portraiture. I will join this course regardless, but it would be SO GREAT to win a free spot. Here’s to an amazing 2018!

  30. I would love to have a spot in Let’s Face It 2018 in order to continue the valuable education I have received in the online art community. You, Juna, are an expert teacher, and many other LFI teachers have also helped me tell my stories with my pencils, paints, and papers. Studying the masters and art movements is a natural progression that will help me move to a more developed level. I look forward to the lessons and the learning!

    I will share on Facebook.

  31. Thank you for the opportunity to win entry to these classes. I am new to portraiture having found the whole idea of it just too overwhelming and intimidating. I am looking forward to learning from this group of amazing artists.

  32. I just posted your giveaway on Twitter and FB. I’d love to take the class and keep improving my skills. My goal is to be a professional artist, yet the last paintings I sold were in 1989 before my social work and real estate careers! I’m still a little rusty and would greatly appreciate honing my artistic abilities. Money is very tight. I continue to borrow money to buy supplies. The Giveaway would be a great blessing to me. Thanks, Juna!

  33. Not putting myself down, but I can certainly keep learning to paint and draw portraits and would love to learn from new teachers in the world’s art community

  34. This year I joined up to LFI late and have been overwhelmed with the diversity and quality of the lessons!!

2017 for me has been a year of commencing the journey and finding myself as an artist. Art has been calling me increasingly stronger until it physically became too painful to ignore. So I’m learning to lean into it and enjoy the journey. I’d LOVE to win a spot in 2018’s class to help propel me further in the journey and to help develop the skills I need to be able to paint the art & messages inside of me which are screaming to come out.

  35. Thanks so much for the chance to win a spot. I would love to win because I feel like I need to continue the journey I began 3 years ago when I accidentally discovered the world of art journaling on youtube. Every class and every lesson teaches me to be more patient and forgiving of myself and to accept myself as I am. I think of all the teachers I’ve ever had as guides who help me evolve not only as an artist, but as a human. 🙂

  36. I would love to win a place on this course as I have bought books on portraits and have admired the marvellous range of styles of different artistd, but woukd love to discover what my art work in this area will look like.

  37. I love drawing and painting faces but I always struggle with expression and anything other than straight on faces (prfile, 3/4, looking up or down.) I would love to be able to see different techniques that might help me loosen up 🙂

  38. I love to learn new techniques and love to draw faces! Thanks for the chance. Already a subscriber & shared on my FB page. This course would make an awesome birthday present!!! (fingers crossed)

  42. I would love to join as portraits are my favourite subject to paint, and I am keen to learn from the old masters and all of the different teachers. Shared on facebook Rebecca Ruff and twitter @rebeccafurf

  43. I would love to win a spot on Let’s Face It. I’ve wanted to join that course for a couple of years, but haven’t had the means. My portraits have come a long way in the past 2 years, but I know this class would take them to a whole new level! Thanks for the chance to win a spot.

  44. I have created a few paintings with Juna and love her style and her clear manner of teaching. Looking forward to more and would be so excited to get a spot on the 2018 Let’s Face it! Thank you Juna! Shared.

  45. Hi Juna,
I would love to win a place on Lets Face It 2018 because I love drawing and painting people but really struggle with mixed media and loosening up. I’m always so unhappy with anything I create because it never ends up how I thought it would. I love your work and would love to be able to use all those different mediums without it turning into a muddy mess!

  46. This would be so amazing! I have been quite taken with trying to master faces for sometime on my own and this would just be such a truly wonderful chance for me to delve further and gain more confidence! Thank you for the chance! With fingers crossed;)

  47. OMG… Juna, next year sounds exceptionally wonderful at LFI. Knowing that you are one of the instructors is perfect…your style of painting and teaching will be exciting to see what you do with a course based on master painters.
I have learned so much from all the instructors of LFI 2017 and I’m looking forward to another year of expanding my paintings voice! An Artist is never complete that is why I love taking classes.
Thank you so much for the give away…I have my fingers and paint brushes crossed.

I know it will give me many perspectives from the variety of artists to help me in upgrading my skills and knowledge. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win!

  49. I was able to take LFI 2017 and found it to be one of the most informative learning experiences. I’d love to win a spot for next year. Thanks for the opportunity.

  50. I would love to win a space in this amazing online class with all these amazing teachers. Juna, what a special treat it will be to sit in your class again and of course to learn about Rembrandt from an amazing Dutch lady. Thanks and holding thumbs. Keep creating everyone.

  51. I’ve become fascinated with portraits last year and would love to explore more techniques and be inspired by you and the other awesome teachers in Let’s Face It 2018 – so I would really love to win a spot!

  53. Such a wonderful line up of artists and fascinating journey of art though the ages! I would be so honored to win a membership!

  54. Hi Juna….if I have to beg, borrow or steal, I will be signing up for this course! (Just kidding about the stealing part). Thank you for giving us all this opportunity to possibly take the class for free. Learning about the Masters, studying so many different styles of rendering……truly…..Be still My Heart! Self taught artist that I am, quakes at the sheer joy of it all!
Have a goal of teaching myself, one day…..this would certainly insure that.
I am already signed up for your newsletter and have FB the link! You are the best….thanks again.
PS. Counting the days until Drawing in the Soul!!!!!!!

  55. Oh wow this would be amazing. I’ve had a fear for doing faces and this woukd really help me in the long run. I’ll hold thumbs for a space. 🙂 Lots of love

  56. Let’s Face It has upped my skill level with drawing and painting faces and to some degree the entire figure. I have loved this years lessons! I never really painted faces before and the couple of times I did it was fun yet my results were, well… crudely rendered. Now my work still has a ways to go but I was able to paint a 20″x16″ portrait of my grandson that actually looks like him and isn’t completely flat. I’m going back to rework areas. Each teacher has imparted valuable information and techniques. So I am going to continue next year and look forward to lessons based on the masters.
I’m sharing on Instagram. Thanks for the chance to win a spot.

  57. I can’t wait for another year of LFI!! It has been one of the best classes that I’ve ever taken! So excited to learn from you again!! xx

  58. Portraits remain one of the most intimidating facets of art making. Because just painting/drawing a face doesn’t cut in: expression is key. Therein lies the art of succeeding.

  59. Oh how I would luv to win a spot.. I have such struggles with portraits and Juna your sytle is so beautiful I have wanted to learn from you but have not be able to as of yet…
I have shared on twitter and I am already a subscriber.

  60. Hi again! It would be a wonderful day to win a free spot on LFI 2018 with you teaching! I love your style and really enjoyed learning about glazing this year. I just got my first set of Sennelier oil pastels and can’t wait to use them. Thanks so much for this generous offer. 🙂

  61. There are so many reasons why I would participate again in Let’s Face It 2018 that I don’t know where to begin. But resuming, it’s one of the most resourceful, useful and best structured courses I’ve ever signed up. The teachers are most generous and professional with their lessons, the extra tips about techniques and supplies are very helpful and the videos are downloadable and, and, and I could go on and on.

  62. I have always painted abstracted faces, but I am gaining the courage to learn to create faces in different ways. I began my artistic path as a wedding/portrait photographer and have morphed into a mixed media artist who loves creating abstracted figures and faces.

  63. Juna, I LOVED your class this year in LFI!!! I can’t wait to learn more from you!! Thank you for the chance to win a spot for next year!

  64. I would love to win a spot in this class! I love painting portraits because I just never know who is going to show up! I would be thrilled to explore new techniques from so many artists that I admire!

  68. Faces are my biggest fear. I usually end up with a wonky, lopsided mess. I think this would be so extremely helpful and not so scary. That’s for the opportunity to win a spot.

  69. I’ve always wanted to learn how to draw faces. There is so much to be seen in a face but my drawings are so flat and expressionless to me. I would love to be able to better bring them to life

  70. shared on my twitter,
    already your subscriber 😀

my faces could use a little work, I feel I’m a bit stale, so this class would be so amazing! thank you Juna for a chance to win a spot 😀

  71. I absolutely love drawing and painting faces… And to be able to learn so many different styles from different teachers would be such a treat.

    pinned and tweeted… cheers

  72. Art is my passion and nothing is more fulfilling to see the joy in someone’s face when they connect with something I have created from my heart. I paint, sculpt animals from found objects, hand sew leather handbags, and weld yard art. As a memorial to my Mother I will hopefully continue as she always nourished my creative endeavors. I am hoping to grow in the illustrative body proportions to improve my paintings. This will be sooo fun.

  73. I’d love to join again next year as I love learning from different teaches, and you are the reason I signed up this year!

  74. I love drawing faces but I have so much to learn. I am very much a beginner and would love one day to be happy with what I produce.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  77. This looks like a very interesting class. I’ve been unable to draw or paint in over a year because of neck problems and I dearly miss it. I am having a 4 level fusion on it in a couple of weeks, so I’m planning on being healthy and ready to paint up a storm come January! What great healing therapy this would be!

  78. I want to improve my portrait/character creation abilities. I have been working for a year doing one a day with a variety of materials trying to capture good likenesses. I would be a pleasure to learn from those I admire.

  79. I would love to win a spot on let’s face it 2018!
Due to circumstances it’s difficult for me to be part of LFI 2018.
This is a try from me to be part of it 😊😘

  80. I never went to school in the arts, I learn all I can online. I Enjoy not only the art the artist teaches but the person teaching are a very interesting group of women. And I would absolutely love to win the classes. Thank you

  81. Lets Face it has helped me in healing. I lost my left eye in 2015 and I am showing gratitude for the working one by painting everyday. I need to use it before I lose it although I hope I never lose it. Lets face it has helped me.

  82. Hi!
