Sketching on the couch, in my art journal. Just like yesterday I am limiting my supplies, but this time I was even more restricted because I only used a mechanical pencil and a white marker. And again no eraser, just like yesterday.

It’s quite interesting, because when I was half way or so I almost just ripped out the page and tossed it, because I thought it wasn’t working. But I am learning that at such a point I just have to continue drawing and see what comes out of it. And the more I played with the shadows and highlights, just working with the mechanical pencil and the white marker, line after line, the more I started liking the portrait.

At the end I added some shadow for the background, which gave the portrait even more depth. And now I just love her! 🙂
