Painting on a Gelli Print – new video

This is my second video on YouTube. It’s a time-lapse video showing how to use paint and colored pencil to create a figure of a female dervish on a previously made monoprint (gelli print). The artwork is called Dancing Into Mystery and you can read a little more about it in this blogpost.

For this video I have used a new tripod, which can stand next to my table and leaves me more space to work with. It actually is a lighting stand, but it worked really well.

Supplies used in this video

  • Gelli print made on Bristol paper, 250 gsm, size A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inch)
  • Stabilo All pencil (black and white)
  • Acrylic paint
  • Flat angled brushes #8 and #4
  • Round brush #3/0
  • Babywipes
  • Prismacolor Verithin colored pencils
  • Prismacolor Premier colored pencils

I’ve made this video a lot shorter than the first video by speeding it up more and would love to know what you prefer: the first video which is longer (about 20 minutes) or this one which is shorter (about 10 minutes)? You can leave a comment here or below my YouTube video. Thanks a lot! 🙂
