New monoprints

I can’t believe the Art 101 Challenge is almost coming to an end! I started June 1st and on September 9th I must have created 101 artworks. So I still have a few artworks to make before next Tuesday!

That’s why I decided to create some more monoprints. 🙂 I made them on smooth 250 gsm Bristol paper and on some of the prints I added extra details with oil pant and pencil. The edges of the paper are torn and inked. All prints are just a little under A4 size (approx. 8 x 11 inch).

For this print I made an extra torn edge at the bottom. Just because I like it. 😉

  2. These are so magical Juna. I really love the colours and the shapes. Also love how you achieve this kind of pearlescent glow whenever you use white. Knowing more about your process would be awesome if you’re willing to share your secrets =p (you could do an online course?? the stuff you do with your gelli prints is so unique, I’m sure people wouldn’t mind paying for that knowledge)

    1. Thanks so much, Iris. I actually would love to make an online course! I will first have to look into making videos though (could learn from you, since you are making great vids on your YouTube channel! 😉 ). It will take a little while, but I will keep you all posted.

  3. Even a photo step-out of your process would be so illuminating – these are gorgeous colors & patterns (WOOT – Whirling Dervish!) and I would love to see your processes. Love the Gelli plate and am looking forward to seeing more of your work – it’s very inspiring!

    1. Thanks so much for your compliments!! I definitely would like to make a video, but first I will need to get the equipment, learn how to make good videos etc. It’s on my list though! Thanks for encouraging me. 😉
