The Elephant

This evening I set out to paint another lantern, but well, yes… I ended up painting an elephant.

Painting is becoming more and more an adventure here! 😉

The Elephant, mixed media (acrylic paint and colored pencil) on canvas board.
Size: 24 x 30 cm (9.4 x 11.8 inch).

  1. I like the shining radiance around the Elephant. It reminds me of the Buddhist sacred Elephants..

  2. Oh Juna …. So, so beautiful and I believe another form for a lantern … having Africa deeply imprinted in my heart and soul, the elephant is my totem animal and this one … Well also my lantern now 🙂 thank you for allowing your soul lantern to lead …

    1. What a beautiful connection you make between the elephant and the lantern. No better totem animal than the wise elephant. I would love to visit Africa once and SA in particular… must be so magical.

  3. Lovely. I feel a great kinship with elephants these days. They are such social animals and there’s something about the way that they move that makes me feel calm and centered. I’m glad you’re willing to listen to where the piece takes you.

    1. Yes, they are such special animals! Is there any particular reason why you feel this connection especially these days? Curious to see if there will be an elephant in your art too, the next period! 😉
