Drawing in the Soul is my main mixed media portrait course that is now offered as a self-paced class.
In this in-depth online course we’ll be creating front face portraits, profile portraits, and three-quarter portraits. Important topics that we’ll explore are value, line, and color. We’ll use all my favorite art supplies, such as acrylic paint, charcoal, soft pastel, and a little bit of oil paint sticks and oil pastels.
I’m super excited to be a guest teacher in Life Book 2018, a year-long mixed media art class organised by Tamara Laporte! This wildly popular course runs for the seventh time and has been joined by over 16500 people (!) in the past. Themed around art, self-development and healing, you’ll be creating several mixed media art journal pages per month which by the end of the year you will bind into a beautiful journal – a Life Book. You will have a wonderful keepsake that you can treasure for the rest of your life!
I’m teaching in 21 SECRETS! This art journaling and mixed media course is hosted by Connie Solera and offers the online workshops of 21 talented artists into one beautifully designed, easy to navigate, downloadable eBook. This edition is called Tell Your Story and in my workshop we’re going to work with storytelling various ways, creating the textured portrait that you see here on the right.
I’m teaching in Let’s Face It 2018! This will be the third year that I’m teaching in Let’s Face It and I can’t wait to get started again! Let’s Face It is a year-long collaborative course all about faces, hosted by Kara Bullock. In 2018 Let’s Face It is going to be extra special, because we will be studying different art movements and find inspiration in various master artists from those periods. My main lesson will be all about Rembrandt, so I’m very excited about that!
After the huge success of Let’s Face It in 2016, I’m thrilled to be a guest teacher in Let’s Face It 2017 as well! This is a 50-weeks collaborative course all about faces, hosted by Kara Bullock. In this edition we are focusing on topics like value, skin tones, expression, young and old faces, and style development. I give a lesson in which we’ll learn all about tonal values, and provide a fun mini lesson showing how I draw a charcoal portrait as well.
